![]() The PPAPI sandboxing model offers substantial modern defenses against malware, but like all things, comes at a cost. Updating to the latest available drivers for your graphics hardware would be a good start. Your drivers are probably really old and were blacklisted because of stability problems. ![]() The symptoms of A/V sync and high CPU usage during video playback are probably related to the fact that we're not using your video hardware. Read Before Posting: How To Get A Useful Answer To Your Question You've described multiple symptoms, but we'd need to take them one at a time. Moved to Using Flash Player, as this is unrelated to the beta. Will it ever be as stable, and not have all the flaws I have outlined? I mean, I know my specs aren't fantastic, but it can play a blu ray in PowerDVD14 why can't it play pepper flash? Hope you can give me some advice besides just upgrading my GPU. I wonder why PPAPI is so much worse of an application than NPAPI. I realize that NPAPI is being taken away this year from Chrome. Flash is crashing on youtube, in chrome and I use the Chrome add-on Magic Actions to force flash, as I hate HTML5, and it does not play good on my setup. However, the videos play perfectly, as long as flash doesn't cause Chrome to crash. This crashing also happens on my friends modern laptop w/intel I5 and 1 GB GPU. Once in a while, it overloads my system, and causes it to crash. I currently use NPAPI 64-bit beta releases, in Chrome Canary 64-bit instead, as it is mostly working perfectly. On top of all that, Pepper flash has audio crackle. Also, the seek functions in pepperflash never works right on youtube, you have to click an inch before wherever you want the video to play. I'm skipping frames and seeing glitches left and right. The audio is out of sync with video, and the cpu is maxed out from memory leaking. be it 32 or 64-bit chrome/flash, I cannot get pepper flash to play right on my system. Hi, I'm using a Windows 7 Setup, with a Core2Quad 65 nm CPU and a pathetic Geforce GT 8500 GPU that I realize is basically worthless, but feel it should be good enough to play flash videos still! No matter which versions of Pepper Flash I use, be it built in, or Beta.
